The consumer confidence index provides an insight of the future development of household consumption and savings, based on their current assessments and forecasts of their financial condition and the country’s economy, as well as their propensity to buy durable goods.

According to the quarterly household monitoring data, the Consumer Confidence Index together with its components grew again in July 2024, this time reaching the threshold of 0% (under the Eurostat methodology).
